Question #1:

Wtf!? I used an online calculator to find my swim suit size and...?

And when I clicked the link to "view styles in my size," all that came up was pregnancy suits! This wasn't on a pregnancy swimwear site, so I'm slightly offended and confused! I'M NOT FAT!

My underbust measurement is 32
My waist is 24 inches around
My hips are 38
My shoulders are 37
My bust is 43
And my body is about 55 inches from my butt to my neck

So WHY are all of the suits recommended to me for pregnant women!?!? It gave me the size "10E" without considering waist size or weight... I've got abnormally large boobs because I'm nursing, but I'm technically underweight with a BMI of about 17.5... It didn't even factor that.

Do I sound fat to you? I'm sorry if this sounds ridiculous, offensive, stupid, or trollish, but I've been struggling with eating disorders my entire life and this is really kind of getting to me... Why would it suggest pregnancy swimwear? =[
It's giving me the "Sue Rice" size...

I re-entered it 3 times and it's still giving me the same stuff.

Again, I couldn't have put the bust size in the waist size box because there was no waist measurement box.
I am an adult, so if I'm looking in the adult's section, there should be no problems.

Question #2:

Wife still wants me to rip up swimwear?

It first started back when my wife was seven months pregnant with our first child that she developed the desire that she wanted me to rip up her bikinis and swimsuits in front of her.

I did as a lot of you suggested back then that we seek professional advice and we went to see a therapist that deals with pregnancy related depressions etc and we had several sessions during which it came out that although my wife had wanted to fall pregnant the fact that it actually happened on the holiday she associated it with the swimwear.

The therapist advised me much the same as you did to take and pack the swimwear away out of sight for the foreseeable future. It seemed to work out as my wife seemed to forget about her desire or the need to see the bikinis and swimsuits ripped up. But the therapist did also tell me that my wife could well in the future still either rip or have these garments ripped up as she had attributed blame to them and still would have a certain degree of anger.

Anyway it seemed to as I said before it seemed to settle down and our daughter was born nearly six months ago.

Well that was until last weekend when she told me that she has not forgotten and that she still wants those bikinis and swimsuits ripped to pieces and unless I agree to do the ripping of them for her, she will get somebody else to do so.

I suggested to my that if she no longer wanted these bikinis and swimsuits that maybe we should give to a charity as there are 11 bikinis and 14 swimsuits which are all still in reasonably good condition. But she refused and told me the only she wants to see happen to them is being ripped apart and as her husband I should be willing to do it for her as her husband as it is my duty.

Do you think I should give into her, get the box out that the swimwear is stored in, and do as she asks and rip up the swimwear in front of her?

Is my wife right about doing this as a husbandly duty?

Or should I just leave them and if she so desires let her get somebody else to do the ripping of them?

Question #5:

Swimming SKIRT=granny?

I'm only 20 years old and I had a baby not too long ago. I gained a ton of weight during pregnancy and I'm currently working the weight off. I'm not able to wear bikinis any more so I haven't been swimming at all this summer because I'm too embarassed. I found a swim suit that I think would really flatter my body but the bottoms is a skirt and I don't know if that's too granny like.

Here is the swim suit I want to get:

Question #6:

Cute Pregnancy Swimwear?

I am going to FL soon for vacation. At 7 months pregnant were can I find a cute suit? I usually wear a bikini top and boy shorts bottoms. I'm not about to go for the bikini top now, so I really want a tankini with boy shorts.. All I can find is bikini type bottoms or one pieces with horrible flower patterns.. Please help, not really wanting to look like a botanical garden on the beach.

Question #7:

swimwear while pregnant..?

I am going to be going on vacation with my fiance and his entire family this August. The only thing is that I am due in September! I have alot of friends who wore bikinis during the summer through thier pregnancies but I'm not sure if this is really appropriate in front of his family...I know it's the miracle of life and my belly is so cute, but will it offend anyone? Should I just wear a one piece? Please help!!

Question #8:

Daughter’s bikini top incident?

Firstly I would like to thank you for your comment regarding my daughter allowing her boyfriend to undo her bikini top in our pool while she thought I would be out.

I thought you would like to know that the following has happened regarding my 15 year-old daughter and the bikini top incident.

1. She is grounded for two months which means apart from school, school activities and her dance lessons/ competitions she has to be at home no friends and definitely no boyfriend are allowed to come over for the duration.

2. The 3 bikinis and 2 swimsuits have been retained but are confiscated indefinitely and are currently being kept at her grandmother’s (my Mother), she saw them being handed over, going into gran’s bag and going home with her. So my daughter knows that her bikinis and swimsuits are no longer at home and knows that the confiscation period is indefinite at this point in time.

3. I have bought her a new swimsuit the operative word being “swim” it is a T-Back with a high front built-in-bra with soft cups, the suit is also quite high at the back the main section ends just below the shoulder blades and it has very low cut leg-line. Colour wise it is plain navy. My daughter has worn it once and reckons it is difficult to wriggle out of it especially when it is wet.

4. My daughter is also now fully aware that if I find out that she has or wears any type of swimwear other than the above swimsuit until I give her permission to do so that these will be destroyed immediately and that those under confiscation will also be destroyed.

I did talk to her about the risks eg pregnancy etc and that I really expect better behavior from her as she really has been raised to know better.

I would like your views on this?

Question #9:

What type of maternity swimwear do you prefer?

Well..I'm not due till Mid August. I seem to always be pregnant through the summer. I'm looking for a bathing suit but can't decide on a tankini, one piece, or a bikini or halter top with boy shorts bottom. I'm quite small about 4'9, size 0 jeans prepreg, I'm 24 and this is my 3rd pregnancy. I've just never put thought into maternity clothing at all but decided to get a maternity bathing suit this time around. Any suggestions?

Question #10:

Let's Outlaw Abortion---EXCEPT for the following circumstances...?

Since many vocal and politically influential people in our great republic believe that life begins at arousal, our esteemed lawmakers feel it their duty to impose these views on all Americans. Therefore I propose that a law be passed immediately stating that ALL ABORTION BE OUTLAWED, and all persons seeking or performing abortions be treated as OUTLAWS.

Of course, any reasonable person must realize that there Must be a few exemptions to such a law, and I've listed below those reasonable exceptions which came to mind. Being only human, it occurs to me that I may possibly have overlooked some valid exceptions to the ANTI-ABORTION LEGISLATION that I am proposing. So before I submit it to the distinguished gentlepersons of Congress, I offer it up for the review and suggestions of AOL members as a gesture of acknowledgement of the purest form of democracy yet devised by man: cyber-space.

Exemptions to proposed ABORTION PROHIBITION:

Cases of pregnancy resulting from rape, molestation, or incest.
Cases where carrying the fetus to term would be more dangerous to the mother than would termination.
Cases where delivery of the baby would cause the mother a great deal of pain.
Cases where the baby is likely to be deformed, retarded, or ugly.
Cases where the mothers’ figure would be misshapen during swimwear season.
Cases where alcohol or drugs were involved in the conception.
Cases where the mother does not wish to give up smoking, alcohol, or drugs during pregnancy.
Cases involving broken condoms or other failures of birth control devices.
Cases where father offered to settle for oral or anal sex instead.
Cases where the parent/parents do not have the financial resources to provide for the raising of a child.
Cases where coat hanger availability is limited.
Cases where arrogant mother thinks her body is ‘off limits’ to gov’t regulators.
Cases where arrogant doctors think bureaucrats have no right to practice medicine.
Cases where family pet might be jealous of new family member.
Cases where rich politicians voting in favor of this bill do not offer to adopt every single unwanted child.

…Again, these where only the fifteen MOST REASONABLE exceptions which came to mind. I'm sure there must be others, so please don't let me leave any out. Feel Free to add your suggestions so that I can pass them on to my congress-person.

As for enforcement, rather than tying up our police, courtrooms, and prisons, with matters which should be of little or no concern to them, I’d suggest we try strictly VOLUNTARY COMPLYANCE. And of course, the punishment should fit the crime. Doctor’s violating this law should be subject to a reasonable number of community service minutes, (provided that they have the time. Doctors are very busy people, you know.) And patients should be ostracized from their house of worship for a period long enough to de-program them from the notion that their god also has some moral claim on their body.

I further conclude that after much reflection the only law needed concerning abortion is one that protects a woman
I further conclude that after much reflection the only law needed concerning abortion is one that protects a woman’s right to have one. And even THAT wouldn't be necessary if the men in Washington weren't inclined to believe that ROE vs. WADE is a debate over alternate ways of crossing a creek.

Question #11:

What type of swimwear did you wear during pregnancy?

I am on vacation in California and I decided to wear a bikini! My husband said he always wanted to see his wife in one while she was pregnant so I did it for him. I was so embarrassed to take off my cover up but I found it really liberating. I took some pictures and I'm going to show them to my son when he gets older. lol.

Anyway, I was just wondering what you wear/wore?
The boob thing is hard. Thankfully I found one that comes in cup sizes with underwire. GOD SEND!

Question #12:

Is this a cute bathing suit?

I have a 5 month old daughter and I've been working out vigorously with my trainer for the past 4 months and I'm back to my normal shape. I gained 30 lbs during my pregnancy and I'm so proud of myself for losing it all in such a quick time. Do you think it's sexy for my husband but still mommy-enough because tramp looking mom's aren't cute.
I'm 5'7, 130 lbs.
