Question #1:
Why is he so insensitive....guy opinions please!?
My husband is really insensitive. It seems that whatever he says comes out of his @$$.
No matter how nice I am to him or no matter what I do for him, I never get a thank you. I never seem to get any kind of acknowledgement from him yet he fishes for compliments and praises from me all the time. When he does something nice for me, I'd consider it rude not to say thank you or acknowledge it one way or another.
Lately he's been saying things that have been getting to me.
He made a comment how married life "sucks" because our toddler gave him hard time when they went out. I don't know what the hell our toddler has to do with our marriage.
Then he suggested how he is into skinny women. Ok fine, what man isn't. I was skinny before I had our last baby three weeks ago. Yes I have a lot of weight to lose but considering that my body is still recovering from pregnancy and giving birth, I would think he'd be more sensitive around this issue knowing how insecure I feel right now. Yes I've told him how I feel.
I've never been a size 0, but I've been a size 6 and he's always commented on how "fat" I was even back when I was at my thinnest.
I don't understand why he'd even marry me or be with me if I wasn't the type of a woman he'd find attractive.
I don't want to be with someone who will look down on me. I want to be with someone who'd love me and find me attractive.
I even told him this and he doesn't say anything.
Then of course before I had our baby, we went to the beach. I didn't swim and I wasn't in a bathing suit BECAUSE he made it clear to me he would be grossed out when he said "eww" when I suggested I get a maternity bathing suit.
There are ton of other examples I could list here.
I just don't understand why he says things like this and expects me to be A-OK with them.
I don't go telling him how his barely 5in penis is inadequate for me.
I don't go telling him how disgusting his breath it at all times. For the love of God brush your teeth longer than 30seconds.
I don't go around telling him that his 265lb frame is affecting our sex life. He is lazy and totally out of shape yet he has something to say to me. At least my weight gain was with purpose.
I'm not perfect and neither is he. Why is it that its ok for him to say crap to me, but I personally feel it would be very hurtful and rude for me to point out and say things about him that would hurt his feelings.
I really need your guys' help here.
What do I say to him next time he makes a suggestive comment that he is into women who are clearly nothing like me.
I wish he'd just leave me and be with someone who'd make him happy because I'm clearly not doing it.
Men, please give me advice. Why is he being a total f u c k ing jerk?
I married him because i love him. i unlike him find him attractive. He's the type of man i'd want and despite his rude comments, I let things go because if I were to retaliate, it would be a war zone. What kind of marriage is it if I have to fight back every time. I don't want to have to fight back or be on my toes whenever he talks to me.
Question #2:
Where to buy a bathing suit - 13 weeks pregnant?
I'm 13 weeks pregnant with my second and having a hard time finding a bathing suit that fits well. I'm not big enough to wear a maternity suit and don't think I will be all summer (hopefully). I bought a tankini from Target at the beginning of Summer and it's already too tight/small. I'm assuming this is because most of their suits are junior sizes. Any suggestions on where to find a swim suit that will fit for another 2 months or so?Thanks Rwebgirl. I just wanted to add that I am a petite person; hence the junior size, but now my boobs, butt, and obviously tummy are a little bigger than they were 2 months ago lol. Also, I want something pretty affordable since I won't be wearing it for very long :)
Question #3:
So, I want to go swimming and my husband is being a total a-hole about it....?
I'm very pregnant and with a growing belly, everything else grew too, if you know what I mean.I'm no supermodel, I am considered overweight, but I figured I am pregnant and why should I be stuck in the house while my family goes to the beach.
I told my husband I want to get a maternity bathing suit, and his reaction was...get this....."eww".
I thought we're mature adults and me being overweight is a temporary "problem" which should not get in the way of me living my life, especially the fun part of it.
I was really looking forward to going to the beach and swimming with my toddler, but he totally killed my mood.
Again, I know my belly is huge, I know my butt sticks out, I know my boobies are giant.
I don't understand why he'd have this reaction to me wearing a bathing suit.
How would you handle your husband being discouraging about you wearing a bathing suit while pregnant?
I feel like ripping his head off because the last thing I need right now is feel bad about myself. I feel really good, especially knowing I am fast approaching my due date so I figured I'd have some fun before I have the baby.
I just told him "I'm sorry I'm not a size 0 to get your approval".
He just said I was in a bad mood and he'd talk to me later. WTF!!!
Seriously, how would you handle this?
I want to still go, but if he's going to look at me like i'm some kind of monster, then I'd rather just stay home.
Question #4:
Would it work to use a maternity tankini top to hide my large belly?
I'm looking for a bathing suit top with good bust support, an empire waist (perhaps w/ a band or something under my bust) and flared and longer at the bottom. Seems like the perfect suit to hide a belly on the beach...but I can't find one! I was thinking of choosing a maternity tankini top from pea in the pod or some other nice boutique but wondered what others thought or if anyone has tried this?I'm not pregnant...just fat!
I guess what I'm really wondering is has anyone ever tried this and did it work? or is the abdomen of the maternity suit actually shaped different (with a round bump or something)
Question #5:
Where can I buy and cute and stylish maternity bikini?
I'm 6 weeks pregnant so I will just start showing over the summer and want to plan a beach vacation in the fall before I have my baby. I don't want a tank-ini or anything too "mature" or "mom" looking. I'm 24 and I still want to look my age in a bathing suit. I wear bikinis normally and I fit in them if you know what I mean. I'm very slender, eat healthy, and work out a lot. I feel like I look ridiculous in one piece suits. Things are bound to change I'm sure but I want to know where to look when the time comes. I have been looking online and everything I have found I don't like. I figure if I have to I can just wear a normal bikini but was hoping to find some more resources for cute and stylish maternity bathing suits.Question #6:
How do I know what size maternity bathing suit to get?
I am currently 18 weeks pregnant. I don't really show but my breasts have grown. I want to get a maternity swimsuit but I do not know what size to get in order to accommodate so that it fits for awhile this summer. Any suggestions on how much room I should leave to grow in the suit?Question #7:
How do I look good in a bathing suit? 5 months pregnant?
Okay, I know this question is silly.. But pre-pregnancy I weighed 90 lbs, very petite. Ive gained 20 lbs and cant help but feel very self concious. All the maternity bathing suits ive looked at are hidious. Should I just get a regular bikini but a little bigger? I dont want to cover my belly, but then again i dont want people to see it..? Any suggestions..? PleaseI guess i just want to feel "sexy" again..
Question #8:
Pregnant women in a bikini, tacky or normal?
I'll be huge by the time the summer comes. I'm due at the end of July and I've always been a huge beach goer. I love the water, sand everything about it and I know once I deliver I won't be able to enjoy the beaches because I will probably need the rest of the summer for my body to recover. I figured I would go once or twice before I deliver the baby. I wasn't sure if wearing a bikini would be a good idea or a tacky idea. I mean people say pregnant women glow and shine, but would I look right on the beach with a bikini?I looked at maternity bathing suits and they are awful I thought lol so have u done it or know someone who did? do people find it tacky or normal?
Thanks for your answers.
Question #9:
Is there any way you can control whether or not you will carry "high" or "low" before you get big?
I'm 5 and a half weeks pregnant right now.I know that there is the old wives tell "boys carry low, girls carry high". I've heard from people that this was a myth though, people who carried boys high, girls low, all that.
I've always thought pregnant bellies that are "high", like a basketball up by boobs lol, are really cute. And also, I'm going to be "very" pregnant in the summer (as I talked about before in another question) and I wanted to buy a maternity bathing suit that is tankini style, but it will only look cute if I carry high...if I carry low my belly will hang out of the bottom of the tankini.
That all being said, is there anything a woman can do beforehand to ensure she carrys high, rather than low? Is it all purely based on chance?
Question #10:
I am heading to Hawaii in a couple weeks at 7 months pregnant?
I have no warm weather maternity clothes. I don't want to spend a lot of money. What do you think I can get away with buying?A couple of sundresses?
One bathing suit?
What else?
I have the complete go-ahead and support from my doctor and my midwife.

Question #14:
When you were pregnant what did you wear the the beach?
I am so excited for summer! The pools the beaches everything! But I have no idea what to wear! I haven't found a maternity bathing suit that I liked yet. At first I was all for wearing a bikini but the bigger my belly gets the more I want to keep it to myself and husband. I am having some body issues and don't feel comfortable in a bikini at this point. I have always been really skinny and worn bikinis. Don't get me wrong I am not upset about not wearing a bikini bc I am so happy we are having a baby! But I don't know what to wear to swim in! So I was thinking of this. Maybe wearing my bikini with a maternity tank top or tube top over it? Or would that be ugly? I will be 24 weeks on thursday and my bump is pretty big! Does anyone have any suggestions?!?! thanks!!!Question #15:
Since I think I am pregnant, is it cool ot buy a bathing suit at a maternity store? I want to stay fashionable?
Tankini or one piece for a knocked up fashion diva with no babby daddy.Question #16:
I'M ALREADY SHOWING?!?!?
Yesterday, I became 15 weeks pregnant. Only thing is, I've been showing since 10 weeks. I wasn't a tiny girl from the get-go but it wasn't something a body slimmer couldn't take care of. But I think the baby snuck under my pooch somewhere along the line. All the baby books and websites say that at this point I should have a little pudge that can't be seen unless I have a bathing suit on. BATHING SUIT?!?! Please, I popped two buttons on my raincoat last week and that thing used to be HUGE on me. And I am in full fledged maternity clothes; I can't even use the tummy sleeve anymore to wear my regular jeans.
The craziest thing is that at my 12 week appointment, I had only gained 5 pounds since the beginning of my pregnancy!
I've checked that ultrasound from ever angle and there is only one baby in there so WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!?
Question #17:
What type of maternity swimwear do you prefer?
Well..I'm not due till Mid August. I seem to always be pregnant through the summer. I'm looking for a bathing suit but can't decide on a tankini, one piece, or a bikini or halter top with boy shorts bottom. I'm quite small about 4'9, size 0 jeans prepreg, I'm 24 and this is my 3rd pregnancy. I've just never put thought into maternity clothing at all but decided to get a maternity bathing suit this time around. Any suggestions?Question #18:
Do you think pregnant women look hot in a bikini? ?
This goes out to both men and women and just for the record I judge no one..I only would like to see the general population's response to this question. Also if not bikini than what do you feel about a tankini or a one piece maternity bathing suit?Question #19:
Anyone 12 weeks pregnant?? How do you feel?
Well I'm due July 16th. with my second child.I have bigger sore swollen boobs ( that my husband loves lol )
Alot of veins showing
A small baby bump, and general fat feeling
I threw up for the first time yesterday, and it sucked.
I'm obsessed with eating cream cheese and Subway sandwhiches.
I'm already into maternity clothes.
I went from 117 lbs to 124 lbs...yikes!
I'm looking forward to a hot summer....but not so much being in a bathing suit!
How is everyone else feeling???
Question #20:
my pregnant friend has nothing for her baby due in feb!?
My friend is 31 weeks pregnant with a little girl-due feb 16th. She has no job because she is so far along. He bf and babys dad just returned from national guard training in oklahoma (we live in ohio) on nov. 1st. he told her before he left on june 5th 08 to go ahead and sign a 1 year lease starting for october 08 in a rental house. She did but now he doesn't want to move in, he would rather stay with his mom a few towns south. He works good paying job on a farm and also has national guard money but he is very reluctant to purchase any thing for the baby or pay the house bills. My friend babysits 4 nights a week and earns a little bit of money. Her mom lives next door so she mostley eats and showers over there. She is on WIC and gets cheese, milk, eggs, juice, ect. and the baby will be on wic formula when she's born. She did have a baby shower but she got mostley things for 3 month old babies and alot of unnesscary things like piggy banks and keepsake hair bows and teddy bears. My other friend and i plan to go to right to life in the morning (which is a place that gives out free maternity and baby clothes) but where can i go to get free or reduced price things for my friend and her expectant baby since her bf won't help out??? she also needs things for her house like dishes and cups and can openers and cleaning products and just basic household necessities and daily living needs. Her mom babysits all day as a job and makes a couple hundred a week and her dad is a roofer which is seasonal work. They have two other little girls to raise and a house of there own to maintain so they help out by letting her eat there and bathe there. So what can i buy and where to help my friend? All she has in the way of clothing for newborns is ten white short sleeve onsies and two long sleeve onsies with pix of butterflys on them and three pairs of sock. and 1 bunny sack to use as a snow suit. Please help me help my friend! sorry so long!thank you ladies!! i would also like to add that my friend is a very proud person and does care about her baby. She is so proud that she will not seek advice on here herself. that is why i am asking for her and for what i can do for her.so if it is because she isnt asking for herself that u might think she doesn't care, you are very wrong. She is however seeking help from welfare and the ohio govnt office. This baby will be born into lots of love and i am not worried about the well being of her new daughter at all. I am just looking into what i can do to help. but thank u to all of you helping me with my situation!!
