Question: Maternity Swimwear: is it necessary?
( Back )
Answer #1:
Show the bump! I always smile when I see a beach bum with a bump!Answer #2:
Some people will feel awkward about it when you are out of the pool, so if you have a coverup, I see no reason why you can't just make do with what you have already.Answer #3:
If you are comfortable in it, that is all that matters.Answer #4:
no they arent necessary i am 8 months and i wear a regular 2 piece and sometimes if its real sunny i wear a 2 piece with a top that covers some on my belly. got it on sale at walmart :DAnswer #5:
just wear a bikini because it will always fit even when your belly gets bigger and everyone knows your pregnant so there is no problem. flaunt your body in that two pieceAnswer #6:
No no no, dont buy an expensive maternity bathing suit, your gonna wear once!...even if you have other kids it wont fit the same then as it will now!...Go with the two piece and strut your stuff Momma!
Answer #7:
I wore my two piece all the way through lolI think it's beautiful.
And if other people dont, than screw them.
Answer #8:
No it's not a problem to wear a bikini when you're pregnant. They make maternity bikinis. Just keep in mind that it may not fit quite right anymore so try it on first and you may have to invest in a cheap one in a bigger size, but I wouldn't buy a maternity swimsuit for one use because they are expensive. I bought mine 6yrs ago for about $35 but I've used it a lot so it was worth it.Answer #9:
I really think that you will be fine in your two piece as long as its covering those newly enlarging breast of yours and you dont look too "un-motherly". You dont want people to think you are a pregnant slut or something if you catch my drift? :) Best of luck to you. Congrats and have a safe and fun trip!!Answer #10:
I would look for a swim suit that has two pieces not bikini but a swim suit that has a tank top look and the bottoms with shorts. I have a maternity swimsuit it looks like a tank top that covers my belly and swim suit bottoms there kinda of expensive i payed 30 dollars for mineAnswer #11:
I think woman who buy maternity swimwear are either self conscious or their mates are. I say let it show! Nothing more beautiful than a pregnant woman.Answer #12:
Let is show! If you're comfortable, you're beautiful. Just don't forget the sunscreen!Answer #13:
It does not sound like you are huge so why waste the money buying something new? It is not tacky if you are only just going for a swim which you are perfectly entitled to.If you are comfortable with it just go for it and if you are not comfortable with it just slip on a t-shirt over the top. No hassles!
Answer #14:
I really don't see the problem. I would wear the two-piece with pride. There is nothing "offensive" about a pregnant body. If someone is offended, then it's their problem and they don't have to look! Wear that "baby bump" with pride. It's a very special time of your life. I actually still have semi-naked pictures of myself which were taken when I was pregnant with my only child about 35 years ago. I still tear up every time I look at them. Good luck!Answer #15:
wear the two piece and have a large whit t-shirt on tied up in the back over the top incase the bathing suit top dont fit right. bc i know being preggo my boobs grew lk 2 sizes and non of my bathing suit tops fit any more....good luckAnswer #16:
I always wore my two piece when pregnant - it's more comfortable anyway. I don't think you'll have a problem with it: especially because it's France, after all, they have nude beaches there, and a belly is nothing compared to that!Answer #17:
i say show the bump pregnancy is a beautiful thing why cover it upAnswer #18:
Just wear the 2 peice! That's what I do. In fact, I feel more comfortable and confident in mine when I'm prego, because when I'm not, I feel like I have a bit of a tummy. But when I'm prego everyone thinks it's cute lol...Answer #19:
I bought a maternity swimsuit when I was pregnant with my son, and felt it was a waste of money. It was a cute 2-piece tankini but I wore it a few times and don't even know where it is now...probably threw it away.I am 26 weeks with #2 and plan on wearing my 2-piece this summer. It's a triangle top with boyshort bottoms, to cover the extra pounds that have gone to my butt. I have quite a large bump by now and am excited about showing it off. I was 15 when I had my son, and I dressed pretty conservatively, but this time I am showing off lol.
Answer #20:
I think the Europeans are quite a bit more tolerant of the obvious existance of the facts of life than Americans are. I remember seeing women sunbathing topless in the Bois de Vincennes in Paris (discreetly sheltered from full view by a hedge) and a 300-lb woman wearing a tiny bikini also sun-bathing.Speaking as a liberal-minded guy, I don't have a problem with women showing that off if they aren't shy about it. (I don't understand why pregnant women think they don't look good?)
If you are not uncomfortable, then pack the 2-piece!
Answer #21:
2 piece always...as long as evertything is looking remotley good...go for it . Show off that baby bump!!!** Powered by Yahoo Answers
